Subject	Did Resistor bypass with knock sensor, worked for a while

Message	then stopped. I went to radio Shack and bought a pack of resistors 1-Megohm Resistors. 1/2 watt. 5% tolerance. It worked for about 3 miles. Then I drove to burger-king and parked came back out and it was faulty again. I dunno why this happened. Did i buy the right resistors are they strong enough? Or is it just because I didn't sodder it into the lines? Thanks Greatly would appreciate your help, going out wit the boys tonight and safety boost is no fun.
